To Stay Home Or Not To Stay Home

Definitely stay home as much as possible! It seems the only sensible thing to do during these "coronic" strange times.

We're literally saving lives and helping the spread discontinue by applying the social distancing thing everyone is talking about. Simple measures for a while can go a long way, there is no doubt about that.

And in my humble opinion I suggest you drop most of the media and follow the World Health Organization WHO for the latest and most accurate information without exaggeration or gimmicks. You may also visit the coronavirus or COVID19 dashboard which shows updated on the current world status and official numbers.

And let's all follow the example of Cinta who's determined to stay safe and keep others around her safe. Good for her! :)

Having mentioned all that, I wanna switch gears and say that staying home for a longer period is ok for rich people or those who are financially secured. For those who go from pay-cheque to pay-cheque or out of a job prior or because of the situation this is quite a challenge, therefore staying home can make this uncomfortable period shorter.

On the other hand governments and central banks around the world have taken certain measures to alleviate this economical and essential factor. Leading countries in that regard can be Canada where the government set aside $2000 for at least 4 months for anyone affected by the situation in any way or form. In Dubai also measures have been taken in proportion to the situation here to help companies cope with this. Unfortunately some greedy companies have taken whatever help they could get and at the same time gave many employees unpaid leaves. It quite sickening yet expected as not everyone can rise up to the occasion.

On a brighter note there have been many individual and governmental efforts to help small businesses being the most vulnerable in such times. This shows, as ever, that times or crisis bring the worst and best of us! Yet I'm hopeful that we will rise to the occasion.

Meanwhile, keep calm and stay home! :)
