For me, it goes without saying that you should choose your favorite colors. That's not up to the designer, feng-shui expert, nor neighbors and friends. The designer or feng-shui expert can then advise you on how and where to use it.
However, here I'll discuss a couple of practical tips to choose and apply the paint for the desired color and effect:
- Try to choose the paint color from the palette in the natural light of the room in which it is to be applied if possible, and try to have a second look at night in artificial light also if that's possible.

- Always, after deciding on a color on the palette, choose a least a shade or two lighter, as well as a shade or two darker and apply them as mock-ups to the wall in the same room they will be used in. Never depend on the palette only as colors will look different on walls.

- Also, when judging the mock-ups let them dry first. The wet paint doesn't give a proper indication of how the color will finally look.
- Additional tip: For rich colors ask your painter after applying the primer to paint a coat or two a shade darker than the shade you decided on, then on top of that apply your shade as a final coat.
I hope the advice was helpful :)
