Hillington Office

This project has a special place in my heart because it was my first big project and a chance I had been waiting for. The office was not big in size, but in design value and it needed a luxurious high-end look. It's located in Boulevard Plaza Tower 1 overlooking Burj Khalifa.

The office is located on the 35th floor of the tower with the unique position of being in the corner of the building with Burj Khalifa as the main view and a loft-like space at the furthermost corner, which is where the owner Mr. Jamili, rightly so, desired his room to be.

Designing that loft space was challenging from a design point of view as well as a technical and MEP point of view. After long and hard discussions with the MEP team and project manager we were able to defeat these difficulties without damaging the design.

​

The luxurious elegant elements in the CEO room could have been compromised if we couldn't choose the right lighting fixture for such huge ceiling space. The first proposal was great but sadly too expensive, so I resorted to Artemide's Kao impressive ceiling light fixtures to achieve something grand, suitable, and within budget.

The rest of the spaces in the office had to carry the same modern, elegant, and luxurious look and feel; including the open work area that featured impressive full-height wooden cabinets with decorative lighting fixtures, and an elegant pantry within the cabinets, as well as high end carpet tiles to soften up the work environment and add needed acoustic qualities.

Mr. Jamili was a satisfied client in the end and I had the pleasure to work with a nice and professional person like him on this project and help him get the office space he desired.
